APPRAISALS AND INSURANCE

Dominion Jewelers wants you to enjoy your jewelry for the rest of your life. So to help keep it safe, it’s important to have your jewelry appraised. Our appraisals ensure that, should your piece be lost, stolen or damaged, your insurance company will compensate you for replacement. And the more detailed your appraisal is, the better your chance of acquiring an equal replacement for that piece.

Dominion Jewelers will include an appraisal free of charge for each item purchased worth over $1,000. Each appraisal includes two color copies - one copy for you and one copy for your insurance company.

Our appraisal team will create a document describing the piece in terms of cut, color, clarity, carat weight, the weight of precious metal in the piece, and an evaluation of the craftsmanship of the piece. You can then send this document to your insurance company to ensure coverage.

Dominion Jewelers is not in the business of selling insurance policies.  We work closely with various insurance companies to replace lost, stolen or damaged items.  We highly recommend clients to work directly with insurance companies to ensure proper protection.  We’d also be happy to recommend reputable companies for insuring your jewelry.
